Honeysuckle is the most prevalent plant in Southwest Ohio, more common than any native tree or plant! But it's far from the only invasive woody plant that's taking over our forests.
In this beginner-friendly class, participants will learn to identify the most prevalent invasive shrubs and trees found in our region. We'll learn about why these plants were introduced. what characteristics make them invasive, and which native look-a-likes can be easy to confuse with their invasive counterparts.
This class will include a lecture component and an in-field component. Please come prepared to walk outside.
Please note: This class is NOT focused on removal techniques, but we will share resources that provide removal information with participants.
