Group & Corporate Volunteering

We have volunteer opportunities for groups of all sizes and types: corporate groups, college groups, community groups, church groups…you name it!

Workday Specifics

Volunteer groups often help us maintain our grounds, work in one of the many community gardens in our network or lend a hand in one of our conservation projects. We can accommodate groups both during the week and on weekends. Available opportunities depend on your group's size (typically we require a minimum group size of 8 and a maximum group size of 15) and availability as well as the season and where our needs are greatest.

Requirements for Corporate Groups

We ask that corporate groups who volunteer with us make a minimum $150 donation in support of the CGC’s work. As a thank-you, we will:

  • Provide light refreshments during your workday

  • Share a social media shout-out featuring your group

  • Give your company $100 in class credit to use for CGC educational opportunities of your employees' choosing, good for one year after your workday.

This donation is not required for non-corporate groups, though we gratefully welcome any financial contributions your group may feel moved to make!

Cancellation & Refund Policy: We’re very much looking forward to working with your group! If you aren’t able to make it for any reason, we encourage your organization to consider donating your workday fee in support of our work. Our cancellation and refund policy is as follows:

  • Since our staff will put time and energy into making sure your group has a great experience, cancellations by the volunteering organization must be made at least 10 days prior to your scheduled workday in order to receive a refund. Donations for workdays cancelled fewer than 10 days in advance will be treated donations in support of the CGC’s work.

  • In the event that the CGC needs to cancel the workday due to weather or illness and we cannot find a suitable date to reschedule, you are encouraged to donate the workday fee; however, we will refund your organization’s donation if that is your preference.
