The Four Elements

Join special guest John Morris Russell, conductor of the Cincinnati Pops, for The Four Elements, a unique program for solo bass, piano, and narrator that takes audiences on a journey through fire, air, earth, and water. Integrating video and live music with powerful narration, the multimedia performance highlights the joys the four elements bring to our lives as well as their fragility and destructive power. The program includes a special fifth segment focused on Cincinnati, which features the song "Bring Him Home" from the musical Les Miserables.

The event will begin with a brief, informal meet-and-mingle with complimentary wine and beer.

  • Barry Green, double bassist (former Cincinnati Symphony Principal Bassist)

  • Scot Buzza, pianist (distinguished professor of music at the University of Kentucky)

  • Reverend Mary Tarbell-Green, narrator
