Mediterranean Summer Cooking

Class taught by Kate Zaidan, Dean's Mediterranean Imports at Findlay Market

The Mediterranean Diet features plant-based recipes perfect for summer feasts. While we anxiously await the summer’s abundance of tomatoes, eggplant and zucchini, you'll learn a few great recipes to get you ready to cook with these great summer ingredients.

  • Core and stuff zucchini for a great Lebanese dish

  • Share the secret to perfect tabbouleh

  • Roast eggplants for baba ghanouj

  • Sample a variety of balsamics and olive oils

  • Play around with some marinades and spices

  • Feature a dessert with seasonal fruit and our strained yogurt on top of a delicious olive oil semolina cake

This is a laid back class meant for beginner to intermediate students. Be prepared to be involved! We will demonstrate some recipes and participants will assist with others.
