HUB Garden Class: Natural Trellising

  • Northgate Community Garden 9151 Zoellner Drive Cincinnati, OH, 45251 United States (map)

Growing vertically is a great option for small spaces or to increase production in your garden. By reducing the footprint of your large, sprawling plants to just a few square feet, techniques such as trellising can really expand your garden space.

In this beginner-friendly class, we'll discuss the benefits of letting certain crops climb and explore various ways to take your garden to new heights incorporating natural materials like tree branches and small trunks into your garden to support your vining crops. We'll identify the crops that benefit most from trellising and some of the various methods that can be used in vertical gardening. You'll also help build a traditional trellis under the guidance of an experienced Nepalese gardener from the Northgate Community Garden.

Free & open to the public! However, please register so that we can notify you in case of weather-related schedule changes.

This class will take place at the Northgate Community Garden: 9151 Zoellner Dr., Cincinnati, OH 45251.
