Eryngium yuccifolium
Rattlesnake Master
Rattlesnake Master is a unique native perennial with unusual round, spiky flowers that appear in early summer and last through fall.
It has yucca-like foliage and tall, straight stems about 4 feet tall.
Prefers full sun and moist or dry soil. Shade or too much richness will cause this plant to grow skinny and flop over.
It is an excellent plant for rain gardens, butterfly gardens or prairie gardens and it provides striking ornamental value throughout summer, fall and winter.
Drought tolerant and deer resistant.
