Erin works behind the scenes to help ensure the Civic Garden Center’s work is both supported and visible. If you’re looking at something the CGC put out into the world—be it social media, the CGC website, class materials, flyers, reports or emails—she probably had a hand in it.
Erin first connected with the CGC in September of 2021, when she needed an organization to write about for a class. As an intern, she helped to revamp the CGC’s website. Shortly after her graduation in May of 2022, she officially joined the staff. What she loves most about the CGC is how if you spend any time here, you can’t help but learn something. It’s hard to encounter the CGC and not come away ready to get your hands dirty!
Erin grew up in Cincinnati and returned in 2016 after more than a decade away. She attended the University of Rochester, where she majored in American Sign Language, and completed her MPA with a focus on nonprofit management through Marist College. Outside of work, she enjoys knitting, growing lettuces, early music, and building LEGO creations with her son. She’s also the unofficial baker for staff birthdays.
