As the Community Engagement Coordinator, Brandon is responsible for building community partnerships, promoting CGC events and orchestrating engagement opportunities, including but not limited to volunteer workdays, community plantings, donor cultivation and social media.
After graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a Marketing degree, Brandon worked in sales at a local advertising agency. He later learned the art of urban beekeeping while apprenticing under some of the region's most talented landscape architects. In 2019, he built a business to use native landscapes as "green billboards" and help folks promote biodiversity in their neighborhoods. These experiences helped him discover the correlation between urban beautification, wildlife conservation and community impact.
After spending most of his professional career in the environmental industry, Brandon sees conservation in urban spaces as a legitimate pathway and catalyst for residents to cultivate passion, purpose and ownership in their communities. At the CGC, Brandon uses his contagious enthusiasm, desire for innovation and team-building expertise to help others find purpose in nature while building safe spaces for people and the planet, one step at a time.
