When you hear the word "weed," the first thing that comes to mind is likely a fuzzy yellow flower with pointed leaves — the dandelion! But, did you know that throughout much of history the dandelion has been considered an invaluable source of food and medicine? Or that the flowers are an important food source for early pollinators in our region? Or that these plants can communicate to us about the quality of our soil health?

Come learn the secret powers of this common plant, and join us in foraging and creating some tasty dandelion treats.
