Carthage Community Garden Workday

  • Carthage Community Garden 125 West North Bend Road Cincinnati, OH, 45216 United States (map)

Join us in a garden!

This will be a great opportunity to learn about the Johnson-Su Bioreactor composting system that’s being installed all over the city. From the garden coordinator: "Much like a bucket brigade, volunteers will fill buckets of green and brown and deposit them into the Johnson-Su Bioreactors. A fancy word for composter is a passively aerated, no-turn composting system capable of composting up to 1,500 pounds of material. We have built the structure for the Carthage Community Garden and now need to fill it."

The Carthage Community Garden is located behind the Nathaniel School, and there is free parking in the school lots.

Please bring a water bottle and gloves. We will have extra gloves and a water cooler for you as well.

Reach out to Kaela Khan at volunteer@civicgardencenter.org with any questions or concerns. Hope to see you there!
