A Good Place to Read, Research or Meet!

The Hoffman Library is one of four lending horticultural libraries in Ohio with over 2600 books, 17 magazine subscriptions and free gardening catalogs.  This tranquil space is ideal for relaxing and observing the garden beyond the picture windows as well as conducting research, and hosting small private or community meetings (for library rental contact Terry at thouston@civicgardencenter.org).

The library’s collection is maintained by the Library Committee which meets every Wednesday afternoon.  Members include: Dottie Brown, Michele Dragga, Joyce Lech, Muriel MacArthur, Nina Castro, Cindy Briggs and Barb Majnarich.   The Committee welcomes your questions and suggestions at Library@civicgardencenter.org .

Access to the library’s resources is open to all visitors of the CGC though checkout privileges are reserved for donors and/or volunteers for a loan period of 4 weeks with renewal by phone or email.  Easy search of library holdings can be conducted by using the online catalog on the library’s in-house computer or remotely by clicking here.  Checking out books is made fast and user friendly with the self-checkout or with CGC staff assistance.
